Premium Sheds vs. Standard Sheds
Premium Sequoia Sheds give you a truly beautiful and durable garden shed or storage building. They come caulked and painted with the shed and trim colors of your choice, and are built with the best quality components. Standard Sequoia Sheds offer a sturdy but basic storage shed for budget-conscious homeowners or do-it-yourselfers. The exterior is pre-primed but unpainted. The no-frills construction ensures lower costs while still giving you a storage solution. Standard sheds include a 1-year warranty. If purchased with paint, the warranty is 3 years.
Premium Skids
We use pressure-treated 4x4’s as skids under the floor joists. They are resistant to rot, water damage, and insects. They rest on our concrete blocks or on your concrete foundation.

Premium Floor
Floor joists are pressure-treated 2x4’s 16” on center. Floor plywood is ¾ tongue and groove. Exceptionally sturdy.

Rim joists are pressure-treated 2x4's. Interior joists are white fir 2x4's, 12" on center. We use ½” plywood. While thinner than the Premium flooring, this floor is still sturdy due to the joists being only 12” on center. We pass the savings on to you!
Premium Wall Framing
We frame our walls with 2x4’s 16” on center. We use a double top plate for extra strength. Our wood is appearance-grade White Fir from local mills (on rare occasions there is a shortage, and we have to buy other lumber). We take pains to weed out ugly boards.

Premium Siding
We use 3/8” LP SmartSide siding. It is resistant to fungus, termite, and water damage. It comes with a 50 year limited warranty from the manufacturer. Horizontal lap siding from LP is also available.

Premium Wall Height
The Premium Ranch has 7’5” tall walls, while the Premium Barn has 6’ tall walls. The Cottage has walls almost 8’ tall.

The Standard Ranch and Standard Barn both have 6’ side walls.
Premium Doors
Our default door is 48” wide, and 6’3” to 6’8” tall. The height varies depending on the shed size you buy. We use a double-panel door, with a siding panel outside the frame and a plywood panel inside, for strength and stability. We offer 6’ double doors and residential doors as well.

Premium Latch
We use a black catch-style latch that locks with a key.

Premium Roof Sheeting
We use TechShield Radiant Barrier, which is OSB with aluminum foil on the underside. This helps to reflect radiant heat from outside back out of the shed, keeping the shed cooler than regular OSB.

Premium Shingles
We use Pabco Premier architectural shingles, with a 40 year warranty from the manufacturer. For a slight upgrade, we can install a metal roof in a variety of colors. This is also a 40 year roof. On all of our roofs, we use metal drip-edge and underlayment to protect your roof.

Premium Eaves
We install a 2x4 on edge around the perimeter of the roof, capped by LP Smart Trim, for a durable 4” eave that protects your shed and looks sharp!
Standard Eaves
We install a 2x4 on edge around the perimeter of the roof. This makes a 3 and 1/2” eave that protects your shed.
Premium Vents
We install 8”x16” gable vents in each gable of the shed to vent stale air out of the shed.

Premium Paint
We use PPG paint, and offer two-color paint jobs, a main color and a trim color. For a small upgrade fee you can have the door painted an additional accent color. We caulk our nail-heads and trim joints before painting for a water-tight exterior.

Our Standard sheds come primed but not painted. Paint is available as an upgrade on Standard sheds.
Premium Trims
We use LP Smart Trim on the doors, windows, corners, and roof edges of the shed. LP Smart Trim is fungus, termite, and water resistant, and maintains its structural integrity.
Standard Trims
We use the same trim as we do on Premium sheds, with the exception that we do not put trim around the roof margins.
Premium Threshold
We install a diamond-plate threshold on all our Premium Sheds to protect the edge of the floor from traffic

Sequoia sheds are guaranteed to withstand wind, rain, and snow. Note: if purchased with the paint upgrade, the warranty is for three years.

We use Pabco Premier Shingles, rated with a 40-year warranty. And our Premium floor system is made of pressure-treated lumber. That is why we are able to offer a 10-year warranty on all our Premium sheds.

We’ll repair or replace, free of charge, any components that do not provide reasonable service under normal use for a period of ten years from the date of delivery. For instance, we caulk and seal the exterior of our painted Premium sheds, so no leaks happen. Our sheds aren’t manufactured in a big facility, but carefully built one at a time.

Sequoia sheds are designed with an eye toward both style and function. Our sheds look nice, with clean lines and careful paint jobs. Our doors are well over 6’ high, with higher ceilings, ensuring that users don’t need to duck or bend over inside. There’s plenty of room to stretch, and even better, plenty of room for storage.
